Wells' granddaughter a top gymnast

Samantha Davis, the granddaughter of Sandy and Al Wells of Deerfield Beach, won six first place medals in a competition held in New Jersey where she lives. Samantha is a member of the Eastern Gymnastics Academy JOGA team in Cranford, JN and was placed in a category that secured her participation in the state championships.

She achieved the highest score of any of the 246 gymnasts in the floor routine, a 8.875, and that combined with her high scores on vault, beam and bar, gave her a first all-around in her age group.

Samantha has now moved to level B competitions where she recently took first place in the all-around. She will attend the International Gymnastics Camp in Stroudsburg, PA this summer to advance her skills. She is coached now by Jozef Safko and Kyla Mendes.
